At Kniveton C of E Primary, we believe that all children have the potential to be extraordinary.
We inspire children to be:
Ambitious achievers
Committed learners
Responsible citizens
We help children attain these qualities by providing them with a framework that not only leads to outstanding success at the end of their time with us, but fosters a love of learning that stays with them long after they have left our care.
These are the principles which enable our children to become extraordinary:
I am responsible
I show respect
I am resilient
I learn well in a group
I am a reflective learner
I learn well by myself
Our Church of England Ethos
As a Church of England school with a historic foundation, Kniveton Primary School aims to provide an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We regularly celebrate with residents of the village and beyond in our local church, St Michael’s, and seek to serve the community by delivering a curriculum that is underpinned by Christian values.
Our abiding key piece of Scripture aims to provide children with the confidence to seize their opportunities presented to them and to know that everyone can become ambitious achievers, committed learners and responsible citizens with the guiding hand of the Lord by side:
“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Our school family
We aim to create a warm and inclusive environment where children feel valued and grow to live life to its fullest.
Our commitment is that we do this through providing an education which promotes the highest possible standards of teaching and learning whilst developing strong and effective partnerships with families and communities ensuring that children who come to Kniveton Primary CofE School get the best possible start to life.
