Welcome to Kniveton Church of England Primary School
At Kniveton C of E Primary we believe that all children have the potential to achieve the extraordinary.
When a child joins Kniveton, they become part of a supportive family that is dedicated to creating ambitious achievers, committed learners and responsible citizens. Our small class sizes allow us to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships with children. These strong bonds enable us to really get to know each and every child in our care, find out what inspires them and then challenge them to be brilliant in everything they do.
Being in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, we foster a love of the great outdoors with regular lessons taking place in our forest area adjacent to the school, regular trips to neighbouring Carsington Water and half-termly school trips to special places like the Chatsworth Estate or Buxton Opera House.
On top of these meaingingful experiences, our dedicated staff ensure that every child’s journey from Nursery through to Year 6 delivers the highest standards of achievement (amongst the top 1% in the country) and inspires a genuine curiosity for the world around them.

Two of our Kniveton residents, Janet Rose and Janka Housley, thought it would be nice to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles by giving something to each of the children of Kniveton Primary School and also to the other children in the Kniveton Parish up to age 16. All of the children have received the gift of a commemorative mug.
They were able to achieve this initiative by very kind and generous donations obtained locally. The cash donations came from: Janet Rose (personally), Lester Lowe Ltd, the Kniveton BBQ committee, Kniveton News and the Village Hall.
