Meet the Staff
Mrs Lynn Board. Headmistress.
I have had the pleasure of being the Head teacher of Kniveton Church of England © Primary for nearly 19 years. I previously worked in a school in inner city Derby.
I have seen our school grow from only having two teachers and 35 pupils to 5 teachers and, one year, 75 children! It has been a privilege to share the educational journeys of so many wonderful children and share their family’s lives.
I have a passion for Art and Literacy. (Two of my areas of responsibilities in School.) I also look after:
Teaching and Learning, Assessment, Design and Technology, Safe Recruitment, Geography, History,
Collective worship and am the International coordinator.
I have two children- Katie, my daughter, has been a Reception teacher at Repton Primary for five years and my son, Tom, lives in Munich and is a chef at a top International hotel out there.
My hobbies are my two adorable grand children: Harvey who is two and Tommy who is three months. I also enjoy visiting our partner schools in Sri Lanka and Gambia and carrying out joint curricular projects with them. When I am not busy with these I enjoy painting and drawing, reading, gardening and spending time with friends.

Mrs. Gorman has been working at Kniveton School for twelve years and presently teaches Class 2 4 days a week, with Mrs. McDonald teaching Class 2 on Fridays.
